Wow!

First, that WOW is because I just discovered a blogger app on my iPhone and I have literally had this phone for 6 months!! I'm always the last to discover things!!

Second wow this week was this:

Dayton held the largest gathering of B25 planes since World War II…I think 20 in total. It was a sight and actually brought tears to my eyes as I watched veterans salute the fly over. Sorry the picture is so crummy, but as I tried to get a better one with my iPhone, the phone went nuts.....turns out my kid had downloaded too many apps and there was no space left for photos! By the time I fixed the problem, the planes were gone! :(

My Clone (*shudders....a scary thought)

Everyone's posting about their celebrity twin, so I thought I would try it. For years, people have said they thought I looked like Barbara Streisand from the 70s:

BABS IN THE 70s

and the chick from Blossom and Big Bang Theory, Mayim Bialik.

BLOSSOM/CHICK FROM BIG BANG THEORY

I think neither are very glamorous or who, ideally, I'd like to look like.  I always hated when people said that I looked like Babs or Blossom in high school.  Just a few weeks ago, a security guard at Court told me I looked like the Big Bang Theory gal. I silently groaned, but laughed so I didn't hurt the ol' guy's feelings!

Here's the photo I used for this little test (*note, I used a photo from my pre-kids days):

The first result from this website: Avril Lavigne

Not too bad. I will take Avril Lavigne, considering the alternatives it chose for me included Screech from Save by the Bell (kill me!!) and Jared Leto (at least he's semi-attractive)!

So, this was the result when I went to this website: Michael Caine

WTF? So not only do I look like a man, but I look like a geriatric man! Awesome! It also mentioned Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit. I truthfully don't know which makes me cringe more.

On second thought, I think I will take Blossom and/or Babs!! They don't seem so bad afterall!

Hoppy Easter!

Maddy began early Saturday asking me when the Easter Bunny would be here.  It was a longgggg 24 hours waiting for his arrival. We put the boys to bed early Saturday and dyed eggs with just M (18 mo. old twins and dye do not mix). Here she is dying her eggs!

(And yes she is holding up the #1 symbol........she is still celebrating the CATS winning the National Championship!)

I got up at 6am on Easter morning and ran through the drive-thru at Tim Horton's for Easter egg shaped eggs! They were so cute!

I told the kids the Easter bunny had left them breakfast! Maddy was stoked....the twins mainly licked frosting and made a huge mess.

The Easter bunny left a decent sized haul (the last thing my kids need is more toys, so the bunny kept it to a minimum).  Maddy was quick to point out that the Easter bunny got her a duplicate toy. Oops, Easter Bunny/Mommy forgot!  Told you they had too many toys!

Here's the haul:

Best thing in the basket....this baby:

Do you guys remember these? I loved them as a kid! They are only a buck at Michael's...they are the mini ones, but still that's a great deal! They had a girlie one and a sheriff too! So cute!

How was your Easter? Hope it great!

Baby Jaguar

For those of you who don't know, Baby Jaguar is Diego's sidekick (SEE PIC BELOW---isn't he cute?)

The almost four year old loves Go Diego (*barf*). For weeks, my kid has been saying she wants a baby jaguar birthday party. I came up with the idea to do all leopard print decorations (same thing as a jaguar, right?!). Run around all day today buying stuff.....get home pumped to show it to her. She tells me she wants a camouflage porcupine party!!!!! What the hell? I don't even know what that means?!

She's still getting a Baby Jaguar party, but would be interested if any moms out there know what a camouflage porcupine is and where I can find one!

National Champs!

Well, unless you live under a rock, by now you know that my beloved University of Kentucky Wildcats are NATIONAL CHAMPS!

I was so excited to see this team win. They deserved it! I realize I am waaaaay biased, but this team was just awesome. They easily clobbered every team they played this season, most by double digits. I'm not gonna lie, there were times I fell asleep during regular season games because it was such a huge blowout!

Now to get on my proverbial soapbox.....I realize most of these guys are one-and-done. But you know what? I couldn't care less.  They brought home a lot of W's and the championship, and isn't that kinda the point? If the university wanted to increase the matriculation rate, they would hire tutors. Instead, they hire a coach.......John Calipari, a proven recruiter and winner. His job there is to get wins, which is what he is doing. I don't care if the players graduate or not. All I care about is can they dribble, pass, shoot, defend, etc.

Any hater who says this is unfair is just that.....a hater. There are several types of haters:
  • Coaches from other schools: Shut up! You are just jealous because you couldn't get these guys to sign with your team.
  • Players from other schools: Shut up!  You are just jealous because you didn't win a championship and that you are not going to be drafted in the first round, thereby making millions!
  • Fans of other teams: Shut up! You are just jealous because your team isn't as good.  Not a one of you would have passed up the chance to have Davis on your team if given the opportunity!
  • All other people who hate UK: It's lonely at the top. People hate UK for the same reason they hate the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Yankees, the Lakers, etc. TOTAL DOMINANCE! Oh and you can shut up too! :)
